Problem

Samal is one of Mindanao's most visited destinations, and fake resort pages and booking scams follow the demand. Travelers often cannot tell a resort's real page or number from a copy until the deposit is gone.

Users

Travelers planning a Samal trip, especially first-time visitors booking directly with a resort. Secondly, resort owners who want their legitimate channels easy to find.

Solution

One place to browse Samal resorts and check a Facebook page or website against TrueSamal's records. Official channels are confirmed with the resort by call-back and code; payee account names are published, never account numbers; known fakes are listed only after staff review. It reduces exposure to fake pages. It does not eliminate risk.
